Hey there. Thanks for stopping by. Selamat Datang.
So what’s this all about?
I started coming to Bali about 15 years ago. From the very first time I landed at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali my senses were bombarded from every angle: the warm tropical air, the sounds, the different smells from Frangipani, incense to all the different cuisines from the street stalls and Warungs.
Bali is the 12th largest island of Indonesia and in my humble opinion maybe the most renowned.
Waking up on the first morning after the best sleep of your life, you may hear faint traditional music somewhere in the distance, Gamelan. Its soothing notes, familiar and welcoming. Your breakfast to set you ready for the exciting day ahead consists of fresh fruit juice, Balinese Coffee and a hearty Nasi Goreng.
Walking outside you see people going about their daily lives, arranging morning offerings outside their home or place of business. Observing the local people you learn something… this tradition along with so many others you will see and experience have been handed down from generation to generation. The Balinese culture and heritage is so rich and vibrant that each time I have returned to The Island of The Gods I am always in awe of different customs and belief.
The things that never change are Balinese Hospitality and the Balinese Smile. It’s unavoidable, everywhere you go people smile at you. It lifts your soul, you feel at peace, you are in Bali, you are home.
